about

(This song is dedicated to John Perkins and all those who suffer under this First Truly Global Empire)

lyrics

Back in nineteen fifties, in Middle East, there was a man
who returned oil industry back to people of Iran.
This nationalization supposed a wealthiness increase
as Exxon company exploitations got into decease.

Afraid of sending army to recover its domains,
FED dispatched a CIA agent with a money briefcase.
After few days, president Mossadegh was overthrown
and a monarchic dictatorship gave Shah of Persia his crown.

Pray for all who suffer
in agony and pain,
for whom the money talks
and all who’s died in vain.

Bloodshed made economy
reach profits through atrocity.
Markets reign in tyranny
while oppressed masses cannot see
that all their wealth is
owed to the pain traders.

After decades of dictatorships US supported for,
Roldós won the elections becoming leader of Ecuador.
He promised to bring people profits of country resources
that was previously looted by US and its forces.

A court of economic hitmen was sent to bribe Roldós
and convince him to keep loyal to the power that they hold.
As all turned to be useless and become into ash,
he was killed by jackals simulating an air crash.

Oppression makes rise empires
under yoke of tyranny,
made of slavery debt
with the chains of poverty.

First lines of conquest are
the economic hitmen.
They dethrone sovereignty
through society’s collapse.

Hand briefcase, money inside.
Diplomatic suit. Charming smile.
Corruption rots leaders’ minds
‘til point to sell their own citizens’ life.

Enslaved by debt that cannot be paid,
Bankrupted nation begins deadly trade:
Education, health and power supply;
by structural adjustments, are quickly denied.
Then corporations like vultures arise
to feast on the corpse when welfare state dies.
Global Bank henchmen, IMF and FED
harvest the profits of dark days ahead.

After arduous negotiations with Carter about Canal,
Torrijos obtained its property for nation of Panama.
The construction of megastructures would indebt impoverished population
with foreign banking creditors of American corporations.

Perkins was sent as hitman to recover previous arrange
by changing Omar’s mind for a few millions in exchange.
But as president didn’t want his own people be betrayed,
CIA sponsored jackals put an explosive in his plane.

And hegemonic empire
has been raised by corporations
through political overthrow,
murder and accomplice dictators.
